You need a Business mailbox if you intend to use it commercially or for business mail. As a guide, business mail means any item sent from Companies House or addressed to a Company name (eg; ABCDE Ltd.), or with a corporate office (eg; Accounts, The Secretary, M.D. etc.) or a brand (eg; Gifts 4 Me) as part of the incoming address.
If you only need a mailbox for personal or family correspondence such as household bills, letters, on-line shopping, birthday cards, bank & credit card statements etc. then a Private account is probably right for you.

Once registered, you can log in to your account to see what mail has arrived, or view and edit your forwarding address, despatch options and contact details, order a Scan & Send or Demand forwarding, add more User names, change your password and hint, top up your postage fund and renew the account... all with complete privacy and security. how your mailbox address will appear...
Your accommodation address is made up from any one of your account User names, followed by the mail Centre's physical address (Smith Consulting Ltd is the mailbox User in this example).
Department or role titles such as 'The Managing Director' can appear before the User name and are ignored by the system... and you can omit 'Dale' to create a shorter form of the address.

Because all Business mailboxes are registered with an individual as the Account Holder, all you will ever need to submit is one photo ID, your date of birth and one proof of residential address.

No further ID verification is required when adding another named individual as a User of the account.
The registered Account Holder is solely responsible for the use of the mailbox and ensuring that it is not used to transport goods that are explicitly prohibited by the Royal Mail, or to misrepresent the mailbox address for the purpose of fraud. Whilst you can start using your accommodation address as soon as you register, you must send the required ID documents via the upload form in your secure control panel before any mail can be forwarded. You have a whole week to complete verification (which usually takes less than 24 hours)... then all features of your account will be activated automatically.

Business mailbox accounts are priced at £90 for the temporary 3 month option (ideal for short term campaigns), £150 for 6 months, or £200 for a full year... that's just 55p a day, much cheaper the a Royal Mail numbered PO Box with no forwarding included.
